Jesus in Hebrews:

A Sermon in Song

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” (Hebrews 1:3)

“For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance–now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”

“Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.” (Hebrews 9:15, 12:24)

Arise, My Soul, Arise – “His Spirit answers to the blood”

Built on a Rock – “Jesus to us His Spirit sent, making with us His covenant”

My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less – “His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the whelming flood”


Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

Abide With Me – “O Thou who changest not, abide with me.”

Now Thank We All Our God – “The one eternal God … thus it was, is now, and shall be evermore.”
